As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will define and execute design strategies across digital platforms, including lucidmotors.com. You'll lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft user-centered, visually compelling designs that meet high standards of performance and scalability, aligning with the 'Compromise Nothing' brand positioning. You will maintain and expand the Web Design System and ensure seamless, intuitive user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

You will present designs and strategic initiatives to stakeholders, including Leadership, and work closely with product teams, developers, and other departments to ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Define Digital Design Strategy: Lead design efforts for new and ongoing projects, aligning with business vision and user needs.
• Ensure Seamless User Experience: Optimize user journeys for frictionless, engaging experiences across platforms.
• Lead New Design Initiatives: Explore new concepts and innovations, benchmarking against industry standards.
• Expand and Maintain Web Design System: Evolve and uphold Lucid’s design system for consistency.
• Execute Designs: Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI implementations, ensuring clarity, brand standards, and user flow improvements. Collaborate with Product Owners and QA to deliver design intent.
• Present to Leadership: Drive projects to completion through presentations and strategic discussions.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with product, development, legal, sales, and marketing teams for feasible, goal-aligned designs. Provide regular updates.
• Champion Design Excellence: Advocate for best practices, staying updated on UX/UI trends.
• Metrics-Driven Design: Use feedback and metrics to iterate and improve user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product design, with a strong portfolio in UX/UI for web platforms.
• Expertise in creating intuitive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Strong visual design skills: typography, color, layout.
• Experience in Visual Design Systems and atomic design principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality, user-centered designs.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or high-tech industries.
• Usability testing skills.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design.
• E-commerce experience is a plus.
