Our growing family business is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer/Account Manager you will be responsible for communicating with clients and stakeholders to bring their designs to life, while meeting the quality and standards our customers expect. This requires high attention to detail, a commitment to precision, and clear communications skills. We are seeking someone who brings a positive attitude and thrives in a team environment.

Widaman Sign has been local to Berwyn and family owned & operated since 1971. We are a sign shop specializing in large-format printing and vehicle graphics and lettering. We serve both commercial and private clients in the Chicagoland area, working on anything from large industrial machinery, to commercial vehicle fleets, to parking signs. With a history in pinstriping and hand lettering, we are locally known for our quality and commitment to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable chatting with customers and coworkers about designs, production, and installation.
Manage incoming calls and emails to update stakeholders about current work in progress
Meet with prospective/current clients to create designs and or adjust old designs for new vehicles.
Create designs from scratch and provide proofs to management and clientele
Stay on top of incoming work and communicate with the rest of the team to keep jobs on schedule.
Fully understand the details of an order as well as the production process, and be able to make notes and adjustments.
Evaluate daily and weekly workloads to best determine priority items and manage a regular installation schedule to maximize efficiency.
Audit the completion of upcoming installations projects by checking materials, sizing, quality, and overall accuracy.
Proactively follow up with customers and make them feel valued by our team
Collaborate with a team to address any operating issues as they arise, such as scheduling conflicts and design mistakes.
Qualifications
Required
3-5 years experience with graphic design
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers as well as coworkers
Computer skills and technological fluency
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Exceptional time management
1-2 years experience in customer service or business development
Proficiency is using design software such as Adobe Illustrator or SignLab
Preferred
Self starter, unafraid to assume leadership when necessary
Experience with large-format printing/graphic installation
2-3 years supervisory experience
Experience in automotives or logistics
Commercial sales experience
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
