Solutions Engineer, Advertiser Solutions, DSP (Activate)
at PubMatic plays a key role in bridging technical capabilities with business needs. They collaborate with clients, sales, and product teams to design and implement customized advertising solutions aligned with client goals. This position is vital for growing strategic partnerships with DSPs and evolving our product suite. The responsibilities include partnering with the DSP development team to plan implementations, working with Product Management and Engineering to coordinate resources, and supporting Account Management to optimize customer relationships. Responsibilities Influence product roadmap based on market needs, including optimization and escalations. Work with client-facing teams to identify business goals, opportunities, and ensure effective implementation of PubMatic products. Respond to escalations related to integration issues, discrepancies, and technical problems for demand-side clients. Participate in quarterly business reviews with clients to discuss technical issues and support opportunities. Collaborate closely with clients, product management, and engineering teams to address technical challenges. Understand engineering solutions to replicate problem-solving for similar future issues. Work with the account team to grow and optimize DSP portfolios. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proficiency with ad tech platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon). Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, and integration workflows. Familiarity with programmatic advertising, RTB, and ad-serving protocols (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB, VPAID). Ability to analyze data and derive insights to optimize campaigns. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to business audiences, including C-level executives. Compensation and Benefits Base + Bonus: $140,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and skills. PubMatic offers a competitive benefits package.
