About The Encourager Association a.s.b.l.: The Encourager Association a.s.b.l. is a Luxembourg-based non-profit organization dedicated to train, and empower people through creative arts. We run an annual Christian Film Production training program aimed at equipping young people, primarily of African descent, with practical filmmaking skills to tell their stories.

The Opportunity: We are seeking a passionate and engaging Online Scriptwriting Instructor to lead a foundational workshop as part of our upcoming Online Certification in Christian Film Production. This crucial 90-minute session (delivered in two 45-minute parts) will be conducted via Zoom. An additional 45-minute session can be added if beneficial for practical exercises.

This is a unique opportunity to directly impact aspiring young filmmakers, providing them with the essential tools and confidence to begin their creative journey.

Workshop Goal & Learning Outcomes: Our primary goal is to provide students with the basic tools and confidence to write a short script for their final smartphone/camera film project.

By the end of your session, students should:

• Understand the simple structure of a story (beginning, middle, end).
• Grasp the basics of creating a simple, compelling character.
• Feel ready and empowered to start writing the script for their own short film.

We encourage instructors to bring their own unique structure and practical exercises to achieve these foundational goals. The emphasis is on getting students started and building their confidence, rather than achieving immediate mastery.

Who We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in scriptwriting for film, television, or digital media.
• Demonstrated ability to teach or facilitate engaging online workshops for beginners and young learners
• A passion for nurturing young talent and contributing to community empowerment.
• Familiarity with the basics of Christian storytelling or a willingness to align content with Christian values.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with online teaching platforms (Zoom).
• Ability to structure a concise, impactful workshop within the given timeframes.

Compensation: This is a moderately paid volunteering instructor position. We understand the value of your expertise and will discuss the fee based the scope of the workshop.
