Job Details

The Programming & Engagement team works collaboratively to accomplish goals related to programming, outreach, communication, marketing, and community engagement. The P&E librarians handle a variety of projects, including outreach management and logistics; presentation planning; social media posts and engagement; creating and monitoring weekly eNews; video and graphics planning, coordination, and creation; staff training; and program planning and facilitation. All of the above responsibilities may shift periodically as determined by the needs of the organization.

A flexible and forward-thinking attitude is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects. Additionally, leadership and communication skills are necessary for the position as P&E works with library staff, city staff, and city leadership

The Programming and Engagement group is a small, energetic team where creativity is valued. The team works together with the library and city staff to execute system goals and initiatives. We spend time brainstorming about what might be possible and how we can help make it happen. Our team vision works to elevate the library on a local, state, and national level while meeting the needs of our community. We take pride in sharing with our community all that the library has to offer!

The target hourly range for this position is $27.79 - $34.74, depending on qualifications.
