The Product Marketing Professional is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of a defined product portfolio. This role acts as the "voice of the customer," conducting research to understand customer needs and the customer journey from sale to implementation. By developing a deep understanding of the industry, personas, and competition, this individual will create go-to-market strategies and differentiated messaging that empowers sales and marketing teams to effectively communicate product value. In this role, you will become a subject matter expert in both the technology category and the market segment it serves.
Compensation: $41/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Hybrid, requiring 3 days per week on-site. This role is a contract role set to last 6 months with opportunity for extension.
Job Duties:
- Product Marketing Ownership : Owns product marketing responsibility for assigned products by being able to understand and communicate what is important to the buyer / user personas and the product value proposition.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Build strong, inclusive cross-functional partnerships with product management, sales, marketing, and learning and enablement teams to execute go-to-market strategies, product launches, and research initiatives.
- Go-to-Market Strategy : Develops and executes comprehensive go-to-market plans ensuring alignment across teams.
- Messaging and Value Propositions : Develop differentiated messaging and value propositions for structural engineering market, including positioning statements, messaging framework, persona profiles, encompassing firmographics, technographics, and psychographic insights learned directly from the field.
- Voice of Customer and Market Research : Conducts quantitative and qualitative market research to understand and present on industry trends, customer needs, buyer personas, and the competitive landscape.
- Pricing and Packaging : Influences and executes product pricing and packaging decisions.
- Sales Enablement : Partners with the learning and enablement team to develop and execute product sales enablement, including the creation of sales enablement materials and courses specific to assigned products.
- Marketing Enablement : Enable and collaborate with the marketing team to execute key marketing deliverables that articulate value propositions and drive pipeline and bookings.
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Marketing or Business-related fields of study.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Product Marketing role.
- Experience in the B2B software market and the construction industry is a plus.
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects.
- Understanding of product marketing best practices and principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research capabilities with the creativity to present new information into compelling, actionable analysis output.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work across multiple remote teams.
- Enjoys learning - passionate about understanding customer problems.
