Overview
Chastain & Associates LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Designer II working with public or private infrastructure projects. The CAD Designer II will be responsible for carrying out a variety of drafting assignments using independent judgment and initiative, preparing layouts, drawings, and designs according to engineering specifications using AutoCAD and/or related software.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Engineering technology or equivalent
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Familiarity with transportation plans and technical drawings.
Ability to read, understand and apply regulatory codes and ordinances.
Ability to work in a team environment.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist civil engineers with project development and plan production.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, redlines, sketches, details, calculations, and documentation.
Generate transportation CAD plans and hardcopies based on an engineer's design and standard engineering practice.
Provide quantity calculations, estimates of time, estimates of cost, and project updates as needed.
Assist with assembling bid documents.
