Position: Senior Medical Writer
Fingerpaint Medical is seeking a Senior Medical Writer responsible for planning, preparing, developing, and reviewing scientific/medical content across various formats (slides, newsletters, storyboards, etc.). The role involves accurate data interpretation, clear communication with clients, speakers, and healthcare professionals, efficient planning and organization, and collaboration with account services, editorial, creative, and project management teams to produce high-quality deliverables. Key Responsibilities
Participate in internal and external meetings, providing pre- and post-meeting materials as needed. Create accurate scientific/medical content for diverse medical communication projects. Serve as a therapeutic category expert within cross-functional teams. Translate scientific concepts into accessible medical content collaboratively. Conduct research, including literature reviews and competitor analyses. Stay current on scientific developments and their medical implications. Understand the clinical utility of therapeutic choices within disease states. Ensure quality standards of all medical communication deliverables. Mentor and review work of junior team members as appropriate. Support new business initiatives as needed. Represent the agency with the highest standards in all endeavors. Job Requirements
Education
PhD, PharmD, MD, or advanced nursing degree. Experience
Minimum of 1.5 years professional medical writing experience, preferably in a scientific communications agency. Experience developing slide decks, analyzing clinical trial data, summarizing scientific literature. Presentation of research at conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals is a plus. Excellent writing and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple timelines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and PubMed/Google Scholar.
