Job Description

We seek a talented Freelance Production Assistant to join our Fox News Radio team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, highly organized, and capable of performing well under the pressure of a live news environment. Eagerness to advance and quick learning are essential.

Schedule varies based on news coverage; flexibility for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Select and edit audio clips in a fast-paced environment
• Write scripts to accompany audio clips
• Edit and process correspondent reports for timing
• Collaborate with editors
• Work with anchors to load audio into hourly rundowns

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, journalism, or communications preferred, or equivalent experience
• Internship experience in radio, television, or online journalism
• Knowledge of iNews, ENCO, and Adobe Audition is a plus
• Understanding of radio and multimedia production functions
• Current events knowledge
• Good communication skills and positive attitude

Pay rate/range: $17.79-$22.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
