OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. JOB DESCRIPTION WFLD FOX 32 Chicago needs a dynamic, energetic and innovative producer to join our team. We are looking for a strong writer who can identify and deliver compelling stories to our audience. You must be willing to take risks and cannot be afraid to fail. Key Responsibilities: Investigate and gather ideas for local Chicago stories that matter to our community. Source video content and manage editing workflows. Utilize strong writing skills to craft compelling, unique content for our digital and linear stream. Ensure the newscast runs smoothly while maintaining quality and accuracy. Engage users on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and emerging platforms. Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a producing role. Line producing experience is highly desirable. Experience developing and publishing content on digital and social platforms is a must. Proficiency in various software platforms. Originality and creativity in presentation and delivery. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage tight deadlines and respond well to direction. Outstanding news judgment and commitment to factual accuracy. Must be reliable and willing to work flexible hours.
