Job Overview:
Amica’s MarComm department structure includes centers of excellence for analytics, brand and creative, media and platforms, web strategy, product development and project management. This Media Planner role sits within Amica’s media and platforms center of excellence. As Amica brings more media in-house, this role will be critical in building out our cross-channel media strategy and planning practice. This role assists channel managers, data scientists, other MarComm centers of excellence and agency partners to help achieve Amica’s business objectives and MarComm key targets.
This is a hybrid position that requires three days per week in our Lincoln, RI office and provides two work from home days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Integrated Marketing Manager in managing holistic media strategy, media plan, campaign calendar and related processes.
- Partners with channel managers to plan and execute media across linear and addressable TV/OTT/CTV, digital video, audio and podcasts, social, programmatic, paid search, lead aggregators, email, direct mail and brand/media sponsorships.
- Plans media budget, provides visibility, reporting, analysis and recommends shifts based on performance.
- Partners with project managers to develop campaign briefs outlining goals, target audiences, key messages, assets needed, timelines, budgets and performance metrics.
- Uses media planning platforms to evaluate and recommend new media opportunities and placements that deliver optimal reach, frequency and impact for campaigns.
- Serves as owner of master media/campaign plan including spend, flighting, objectives, targeting and KPIs.
- Monitors competitive, industry and media changes that could impact performance and strategy.
- May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years related experience.
- Insurance knowledge preferred.
- Experience working at an agency and as a client preferred.
- Experience using media planning and budget management tools.
- Proven ability to plan integrated marketing campaigns that achieve performance goals.
- Proven ability to work independently as well in a high energy team environment.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and present information to audiences of various levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding of analytics, marketing measurement and interpreting data to make optimization recommendations.
