Join the Memphis Redbirds as an official PA Announcer for the 2025 baseball season! We are seeking a charismatic person who can bring enthusiasm and knowledge of the game of baseball to become the voice of our team!THIS IS A PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION.
Responsibilities Include:
- Announce in-game action including but not limited to: lineups, pre-game activities, in-game promotions, in-game activities, sponsorship mentions, and all other game script items.
- Perform ad reads and announcements before, during, and after Memphis Redbirds games.
- Bring an enthusiastic demeanor to each game to elevate the fan experience.
- Review and provide feedback on PA script with game operations personnel to ensure a high level of accuracy and execution.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have reliable transportation to scheduled shifts.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of baseball
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable announcing to crowds of 10,000+ people on a microphone
- Comfortable announcing complex names from a variety of ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to read a script and adapt on the fly if needed.
- Always maintain a professional image whether on or off the microphone.
- Demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude and engage in fan interaction.
- Flexible schedule (shifts include nights, weekends, and/or holidays), including availability for all home games (April through September)
