Job Description: We're seeking a Design Engineer (Staff Software Engineer - Frontend) to join our team working on innovative web applications. This role involves creating new UI primitives for AI-native experiences and pushing the limits of web interfaces. You will collaborate closely with our design team to bring these innovative visions to life for millions of users, combining technical expertise with exceptional design sensibility.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with designers to prototype new interaction methods for generated videos
Create smooth animations to enhance AI operation interfaces
Address performance issues in our rendering pipeline
Participate in brainstorming sessions with the product team for UI innovations
Develop reusable components for our design system
Fix bugs and improve implementation quality
Conduct code reviews with constructive feedback
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in frontend product development and deployment
Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and React
Proven success in delivering popular user-facing products
Ability to translate designs into high-quality implementations
Maintainable, clean coding skills
Strong attention to visual detail and polish
Proficiency in centering divs and layout techniques
Passion for animation, interaction details, and UI innovation
Experience working closely with designers and cross-functional teams
Belief in the synergy of great code and design
Personal projects or redesigns that demonstrate initiative and creativity
