Military Veterans Encouraged to Apply Job Description We seek a highly skilled Senior Multimedia Specialist/Animator to lead animation, design, and visual communication strategies supporting high-priority initiatives at the Federal Aviation Administration. The role involves translating complex technical topics into engaging visuals and interactive content, managing multimedia projects, mentoring teams, and ensuring quality and consistency across platforms. Requirements U.S. Citizenship Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Hybrid role requiring one day onsite per week in Washington, D.C. Qualifications and Experience BA in Visual Communications or related field Minimum 5 years in multimedia design, animation, and motion graphics Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop), Cinema 4D, and Procreate Knowledge of AI tools in creative workflows Strong communication and project management skills Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling media Preferred Qualifications Experience with government or policy communication Familiarity with aviation, transportation, or safety content Experience managing creative teams Responsibilities Lead visual campaigns for FAA and DOT initiatives Design and produce animations, explainer videos, and motion graphics Collaborate with stakeholders on visual messaging Integrate AI tools into creative workflows Translate technical and policy topics into visual narratives Ensure brand consistency across platforms Mentor junior designers and motion artists Oversee production processes from scripting to delivery Specialized Skills Advanced expertise in Adobe After Effects, including compositing, scripting, and tracking Experience creating MOGRTs and working with 3D compositing in tools like Cinema 4D Proficiency in video editing, sound design, and color grading in Premiere Pro and Lumetri Ability to design and animate 3D scenes and integrate them into 2D compositions Strong illustration skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate Knowledge of AI platforms for design and automation Experience managing production schedules and stakeholder communications Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary, comprehensive health, dental, vision, pet, and legal insurance, 401(k) matching, paid leave, holidays, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, professional development, and more.
