Amazon Fashion & Fitness drives multiple core and advance science initiatives. We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join the Fashion & Fitness team to help us accelerate our efforts to improve Pricing Strategy. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have foundational knowledge of pricing and finance concepts (e.g., margin). They will be passionate about working with big data sets, and will have the expertise to utilize these data sets to derive insights, answer business questions and drive growth.

- Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions that will help us achieve our strategic goals.
- Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle), and learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
In addition to leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting, we will also look to this person to provide thought leadership and business analysis more so than the typical BIE role. Key deliverables will be ad-hoc deep dives to support business reviews, standardizing/building reports and dashboards for deep dives, and creating new metrics or attribution for bridging.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, strong communication skills, an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
