What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) and coordinate technical writing efforts
2. Collaborate with project managers and clients to address project needs and solve problems
3. Conduct project site visits and fieldwork, typically requiring travel of 10-20% annually
4. Support general planning and permitting for power generation and transmission projects
5. Manage multiple projects while ensuring attention to detail and quality

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. 3 to 5 years of experience in producing or supporting visual impact assessments
2. Strong research, analysis, and reporting abilities, with excellent writing and communication skills
3. Ability to interpret site layouts, topographic maps, and aerial photographs
4. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
5. Experience in power generation, electrical transmission, or utilities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience with VIAs in compliance with environmental review criteria
2. Familiarity with federal agencies and their assessment methods for visual impacts
3. Proficiency with tools such as DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
4. Knowledge of shadow flicker analyses for wind energy projects
