Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for Staff Technical Writers opportunities in Albuquerque, NM for the Sandia National Laboratories.
Work Location: Sandia National Laboratories, 1515 Eubank SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123
Job Duties:
- Provide unclassified and classified communication services support in the production of writing related to publications, exhibits, multimedia, and presentation services on an as-needed basis.
- Furnish all personnel, materials, equipment, facilities, and delivery services necessary to fulfill the Statement of Work.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple SDRs, delivering excellent customer service.
- Create cohesive, structured documents based on input from multiple authors.
- Responsible for all facets of technical writing including structure, format, and organization of the document.
- Proficiency with software programs, such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Support technical meetings, project reviews, and collection and management of records decisions.
- Work effectively in a team environment with diverse groups, produce products with short lead times, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA or BS in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant writing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance ("L", "Q", or "Sigma 15").
- Ability to gain and maintain access to and travel to Client Locations or other work sites designated by Client.
