Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking a CAD designer to join our team! You will assist in developing engineering and architectural plans and details for residential and commercial projects, make red-line mark up corrections, meet with clients both in the office and on site to obtain preferences and site information, be trained in using structural design and retaining wall software as well as other specialty design software. You will be working under the direct supervision of very experienced and licensed professionals and be given a wide variety of challenging assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately make corrections to drawings.
- Prepare design drawings including details based on hand sketches and imported details from other similar projects.
- Meet directly with clients and communicate with them via phone and email.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints and change/modification requests.
- Develop work proposals and implementation schedules.
- Schedule routine calls or email to keep customers aware of latest developments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience with the use and preparation of construction drawings.
- Friendly and outgoing with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Veterans will be given preference in employment.
