Carlson Design Group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented New Business Development (NBD) Associate to join our Design Team and be a part of our expanding business. We see the design process as a collaboration among our Architects, Engineers, Client’s Stakeholders and expanded project teams. The Opportunity
Carlson Design Group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented New Business Development (NBD) Associate to join our Design Team and be a part of our expanding business. We see the design process as a collaboration among our Architects, Engineers, Client’s Stakeholders and expanded project teams.
Location
You can be in Detroit MI, Atlanta GA, Northern Virginia or Charlotte, North Carolina. Some travel is required for this role.

Responsibilities
Researching & Screening: Research organizations and individuals to identify new leads along with screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials. Client Relations: Contact potential clients via email, social media or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings. Also maintaining contact with clients to inform them about new developments in the company and identify new opportunities. Company Liaison : Liaison with other personnel throughout the company to assure that the overall Carlson/Walbridge message and identity is consistent across Enterprise. Entertain, host and coordinate social events with key clients during working hours, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have
BS/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field. Minimum 5 years of sales experience with an architecture or engineering firm. Experience selling to Mission Critical customers such as data centers and telecommunication centers is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software, for example, Salesforce.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Excellent communication and writing skills. Exceptional Organization skills as well as being detail oriented. Drive for results, along with being an exceptional leader. The ability to be flexible and time management skills.
