We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated student to join our marketing team as a part-time Social Media Associate!
The Social Media Associate will work directly with our marketing team across multi-concept restaurants, hotels, catering, and lifestyle experience brands. We are seeking a Marketing Assistant with a background in social media, who is self-starting, hardworking and someone who will ‘own’ their role in building the various brands and voices of the marketing department under the direction of the Director of Marketing. They will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs. The successful candidate will lead social media content, video creation and editing, and photography.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop innovative marketing strategies and special projects in collaboration with Director of Marketing
- Work with the marketing team to plan and execute marketing strategy to drive new customers
- Grow and nurture our social media pages
- Research social media content and ensure brands are current with market trends
- Create and manage social media content calendar
- Increase social media engagement across platforms
- Build and moderate social media communities
- Monitor community conversation for all properties and elevate engagement opportunities
- Use back-end social platform tools as well as third-party platforms to publish social content
- Write posts and community management copy
- Assist the strategy team with building social analytics reports
- Participate in brainstorms and create innovative ideas for campaigns
- Analyze social media for clients/competitors and help provide insights and recommendations
- Amend final designs to manager’s comments and gain full approval
- Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns
- Submit ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand
- Office work and special projects
- Manage the social media pages for Settlers Hospitality and its group of businesses including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Work as part of a team
- Travel to properties in Bethlehem, PA and emerging markets in the Lehigh Valley
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in marketing related major preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of digital photography and photo editing skills
- Aptitude for crafting engaging content
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Background with video and editing
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Some travel required
