A national leader in the boutique fitness industry is seeking a qualified General Manager to focus on driving sales and service excellence for our luxury fitness brand. POSITION: The General Manager will lead the delivery of our sales and membership growth targets. This role is comprised of 80-90% sales & marketing, and 10-20% staff management and studio operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years in the fitness industry and a passion for wellness
- 2+ years of sales and marketing experience
- Proven experience in social media marketing and grassroots community outreach marketing
- Confident in generating sales, completing cold calls, and converting leads
- Organized with strong attention to detail, able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Professional, punctual, reliable and relatable
- Ability to manage and drive multiple revenue streams including memberships and retail
- Data-driven, experienced with navigating CRMs, tracking and delivering metric targets
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person and over the phone
- Must be solution-based, results-oriented, possess a competitive spirit and ability to deliver with a sense of urgency
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
- Solid writing and grammar skills
- Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public
- Proficiency with computers and Studio software
- Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule of up to 6 days a week, 50-60 hours including evenings and weekend availability
- Lead generation including Grass Roots Marketing and networking
- Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions
- Secure and convert organic and digital leads
- Manage our social media presence and drive social media marketing campaigns
- Implement sales process to schedule prospects into first visit and membership sales
- Drive retail sales
- Manage the front desk to greet and check-in clients and prospects when they enter the studio
- Conduct tours of the facility while establishing a relationship and targeting an individuals needs and wants
- Proficiency in gym management software and POS to include revenue reports, etc.
- Independently make decisions related to high-level customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio
- Enforce studio policies and procedures
- Hire and manage staff scheduling and meetings
- Any other duties as assigned
- Salaried position
