The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center located in Blue Ridge, Georgia and we are searching for a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist .
Position Purpose
The technologist will perform specialized electroencephalographic (EEG), neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic (PSG) procedures utilizing various monitoring equipment and recording observations to collect diagnostic patient data used in detecting brain, cardiovascular and sleep disorders. Participate in facility and departmental process improvement initiatives as may be required .
Education :
* Must have a high school/GED diploma.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential, RPSGT
Experience:
* 3 years FT experience as a Registered PSG Tech in an accredited lab.
* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to function effectively under stress.
* Computer skills with multiple software experiences required
* Knowledge of general office procedures a must
Licenses/Certificates:
* RPSGT credential from the BRPT, CCSH preferred.
* Must maintain a current CPR card. This is a condition of employment. Employee is responsible to maintain current CPR card at all times.
-Must be able to see with or without corrective eye wear
-Must be able to hear clearly with or without assistance
-May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
-May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
-Able to handle emergency or crisis situations.
-May be occasionally subject to irregular hours.
-May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.
