Position Details
The Department of Communication at Bradley University seeks applicants for a full-time instructor of Journalism to begin August 2025.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to teach journalistic writing and reporting across print, broadcast, social, and digital contexts. The candidate will also be expected to teach courses in Journalistic Writing, Basic and Advanced Reporting, and Digital Journalism.
Preference will be given to candidates with an appropriate graduate degree, college-level teaching experience, and relevant professional experience. This is a one-year position that cannot be renewed.

The Department of Communication, with approximately 300 majors and minors, is one of the largest departments in the Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts at Bradley University. It offers majors in Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism, Organizational Communication, Media Production, Sports Communication, and Communication Studies. The department houses the Charley Steiner School of Sports Communication and the Bradley Speech Team, and is located in the Caterpillar Global Communications Center, a state-of-the-art media facility.
