Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced PLC Engineer to develop, test, and program electronic control systems for mission-critical spaces. This role focuses on creating and implementing PLC programs for HVAC equipment in critical environments, providing technical support during commissioning, and working directly with clients to meet their automation needs. You'll be essential to delivering reliable control systems for our customers' most important infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities : Client Consultation : Meet with clients to discuss mechanical and electrical automation requirements
Control
Programming : Develop PLC programs to control HVAC equipment maintaining critical spaces
Program Maintenance : Provide customer-requested changes and updates to existing databases
Technical
Support : Offer expertise in customer-facing meetings and during system commissioning
Field Collaboration : Support field teams, contractors, and vendors during project implementation
Commissioning : Debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases
Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve system errors efficiently
Documentation : Create comprehensive programming development processes for projects
System
Testing : Ensure all control systems meet performance requirements and specifications
Continuous Improvement : Recommend and implement enhancements to programming standards
Qualifications: 5 years experience as a PLC Programmer
2 years experience minimum with Studio 5000 Software
Experience programming complex chiller and/or boiler systems (Central Plants)
Experience programming redundant PLC controller managers
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Capable of working independently without constant oversight
Bachelor's degree in software, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred
Ignition Software experience a plus
Compensation
& Benefits : Salary : $120,000 - 150,000 per year based on experience
