Job Description:
The Senior Manager Information Security manages a team of Technology Controls / Information Security experts in the development and management of relevant strategies, programs, tools, frameworks, and policies. This role provides specialized oversight, control, and governance activities for a key business line or transformational initiative, liaising across the organization and interfacing with executive stakeholders to minimize technology risks.
Department Overview:
This position reports to the AVP, Platforms & Technology: Audit & Regulatory Response Unit (TAR-U) and is responsible for providing guidance on responses to regulators, audits, and 2nd Line (RASL) requests. The successful candidate is a results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. The key objective of this role is to implement, enhance, and maintain tools and technology utilized to document regulatory responses and policy controls.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of moderate to large size, scope, risk, and complexity.
- Provide thought leadership and be future-focused.
- Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Bank technology standards and lead a varied team of professionals.
- Have expert knowledge of technology controls and information security.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Information security certification / accreditation is an asset.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enable and support TAR-U with core capabilities.
- In-depth experience as a Data architect with the ability to engineer data.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various data architecture.
- Ability to thrive in an active environment with a high level of ambiguity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
