Senior Account Associate

Our clients are primarily public-sector organizations in education, non-profit, and similar agencies dedicated to serving their communities. We are seeking a Senior Associate who is creative, collaborative, and has a strong work ethic to lead communications programs for clients in the education and public affairs sectors.
Requirements include:
- At least two years' experience (more is better!) leading clients in a communications-related field preferred
- Experience in current and emerging communications strategies and tactics
- Ability to communicate key messages and narratives utilizing expertise with press releases, written collateral, social media, photo, web and/or video (Please submit samples)
- Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and ability to coordinate/collaborate with diverse work styles and personalities
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also contributing to the office's dynamic, collaborative environment
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, PR, or related field
- Computer skills (more is better), driver's license/car, comfort navigating Southern California streets/freeways/communities
Job entails:
- Leading communications programs to support clients' brands and initiatives using diverse platforms, including written collateral, social media, video, photography, and current and new web-based platforms
- Developing, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients
- Developing content for press releases, media advisories, features, brochures, and video scripts, as well as crafting talking points, speeches, and web content
- Use of photography/videography/social media to tell a story and/or support overall communications programs
- Research and data entry
- Coordination and collaboration with clients, sources, and other team members
- Functioning as a liaison to current and prospective clients
- Attending and supporting meetings, open houses, and community events
