RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Produce clean, technically accurate print files
•Ability to take existing concepts and lay them out in various formats with a strong visual aesthetic
•Follow brand guidelines
•Create production ready print files to be handed off to vendors
•Review, track, and archive work
•Manage numerous projects at one time
•Complete work correctly and efficiently to meet appropriate deadlines
•Ability to collaborate with designers and project managers
•Build print mechanicals
•Build digital assets
•File size management
•Color management
•Maintain well-organized files
•File setup and export to meet corporate requirements of file name, size, and organization •structure
•Ability to check the work of other production designers
•Correct and catch errors before they leave the studio
•Understand the brand. including logos, fonts, colors, and brand standards
•Build all files following brand standards
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Minimum 5-8 years experience in a fast-paced creative production environment
•Past history of working on environment graphics and/or in-person events
•Proficient in Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
•Proficient in Figma, Google apps and Slack
•Experience preparing files for digital production
•Thorough understanding of the elements of good design
•Will be held accountable for the technical accuracy of their own work.
•Ability to manage deadlines and production scheduling on numerous, concurrent projects
•Knowledge of print production and color management
•Ability to create animated graphics in Adobe After Effects a plus (but not necessary)
PROJECT OWNERSHIP:
•Takes a lead role on a project from start to completion
•Oversight of other production designers
•Able to estimate how many hours would be needed to complete projects
•Works with PM team on schedules and timing
•Stock photo sourcing, purchasing, and management
Pay Range: $40 - $45
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
