Overview
Position: Of Counsel / Independent Contractor with anticipated full case load of assignments.
Company Overview: THE FEDERAL APPEALS FIRM is a law firm concentrating its practice in handling Social Security Disability cases at the Federal Court level. We strive for excellence in Federal Court appeals.
Location: The firm is based in New York City / New Jersey and is seeking contract counsel with superb writing skills to assist with brief writing at the federal level. This opportunity is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the firm in representing clients.
- Prepare appellate briefs in Social Security Disability Appeals at the Federal District Court level and possibly at the Circuit Court level throughout the nation.
Compensation:
Fee sharing (commission based payments) on cases assigned to the brief writer. Pay is based on a percentage of fees collected, with an estimated compensation range of approximately $70,000 to $129,000, dependent on success and performance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- You must be admitted to practice in at least one state in the nation.
- Excellent writing ability is required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence are essential, with performance standards including a set win percentage.
