Media Specialist - On-site in Gaithersburg, MD
Duration: Approximately 1000 hours with option to extend
Duties:
• Coordinate video shoots with Sworn and Unsworn staff, PIO and IMTD technical teams
• Produce video content
• Film video content
• Edit video content
• Project management related to video shoots, podcasts, documentaries,
• Coordination of Resources required for recordings, block time on their schedules and communicate to the entire team routinely to keep everyone informed.
• Manage approval for release of the video/podcast/episode
• Proper maintenance of video equipment.
• Make recommendations to the Director regarding the procurement of additional video equipment.
• Provide lighting and sound support.
• Train centralized and decentralized support staff across the organization
You must work flexible hours based on demand. Weekly hours will vary, with some weeks having a heavy workload and others a lighter one, depending on planned activities. Your schedule must remain fluid and adaptable, as episodes are scheduled based on the availability of participants. Nights and weekends will be required occasionally for certain events but are not the norm.
You must be willing to take on different roles as needed for a shoot. There will be times when you fill in for various positions or are not directly involved in an episode, even if you participated in the planning.
