Job Summary:
The Director, Content Mobilization is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for a high-profile, executive-level project for Disney Digital Entertainment. Partnering closely with the VP of Content Mobilization, this position will help shape the strategy and execution of initiatives with every division (ESPN, Studios, Parks, Imagineering, DCP, Disney+/Hulu) within the Walt Disney Company globally. This role requires a strong ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders (SVP+), gaining alignment across divisional task forces composed of senior executives. The Director will be responsible for advancing strategic priorities, securing stakeholder buy-in, and ensuring actionable outcomes. Additionally, the role will focus on identifying and addressing integration gaps, developing new processes, and collaborating with technology teams to resolve system challenges. Success in this position requires a high level of strategic thinking, diplomacy, executive presence and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with DDE project leads and LOB leads to identify opportunities for business/content integration with other divisions of TWDC including, Parks, Imagineering, Studios, Disney +, ESPN, Consumer Products Commercialization, and Disney Store.
- Champion the product vision within Disney, working with various internal partners to coordinate bringing TWDC content to life within DDE Digital Products.
- Form and lead Cross the Walt Disney Company working committees to socialize DDE Digital Products and ensure continuous alignment across all core DDE Digital Product initiatives.
- Manage internal communications and planning with key TWDC stakeholders, serving as a liaison between cross-co Business Units and DDE Digital Products.
- Lead the end-to-end management of key workstreams – define key objectives, milestones, and deliverables and ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Communicate workstream goals, timelines, and priorities to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on project progress, identifying risks and mitigations, and facilitating resolution.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the company to drive cross-functional collaboration, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and coordination.
- Identify and assess potential for incremental commerce opportunities with DDE Digital Products beyond initial minimum viable product.
- Contribute to building and strengthening a culture that is nimble, productive, forward looking, and entrepreneurial. Ensure agendas and action schedules for meetings, including absent stakeholders.
- Role model integrity, champion change and be a positive ambassador for the Walt Disney Company. Create a meeting culture with the right people at the table, where everyone contributes and guiding them towards reaching the set objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8-10 years in relevant professional experience, preferably at the Walt Disney Company, Franchise strategy, product management, project management or Games.
- Possess exceptional leadership, project management, and analytical skills and bring an entrepreneurial attitude to problem solving and decision making.
- Experience leading different senior stakeholders and getting support through negotiation and influencing, demonstrating resilience, tenacity and diplomacy.
- Friendly, people-oriented, team player, with ability to collaborate and influence within our cross functional organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills, possessing the ability to create amazing pitch materials and confidently pitch and represent ideas to executive teams, internal and external partners.
- Possesses a sense of urgency and strong work ethic; self-starter.
- Ability to successfully lead and manage multiple projects within a matrixed organization.
- Detail-oriented individual with a big picture mentality.
- Strong people management skills, comfortable managing a small team and in-direct stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, make fast decisions and learn through iteration.
- Flexible, comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Willing to travel if needed.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Education:
- MBA.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $182,700 to $245,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
