PURPOSE

Coordinates customer’s equipment repairs. Assists the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the Service Department’s operation within the dealership.

Basic Functions And Responsibilities

1. Fields internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department.
2. Opens work orders and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
3. Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
4. Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary.
5. Prepares warranty and/or product improvement for submission by the Central Warranty Administrator.
6. Assists customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.
7. Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership.
8. Closes and processes RO’s for payment when needed.
9. Assists technicians and provides part service including parts lookup, pulling parts from parts stock, and processing MD orders (where applicable).
10. Assists on the parts counter when necessary.
11. Assists with loading/unloading trucks when necessary (where applicable).
12. Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image while promoting customer loyalty and goodwill.

Experience, Skills, And Knowledge Requirements

1. Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
2. Ability to use standard desktop load applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
3. Knowledge of office procedures.
4. General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.
5. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
6. Ability to operate a forklift.

1. Noise Levels: High.
2. Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
3. Mobility: Standing and sitting for long durations.
4. Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.
5. Driving: Daily – short and long distances.
6. Respiratory: Possible exposure to exhaust and dust fumes.
7. Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
