Job Summary
Drive application market development strategy and customer technical activities for the engineering thermoplastics (ETP) building & construction, consumer durables, electronic goods including providing support to segments like healthcare & hygiene and energy transition.
Using common processes and decision criteria to execute on SABIC Petrochemicals strategic priorities, resulting in developing of key customers in the NAM Region.
Identify new applications and platforms within the commodities and ETP segments, and assist new product development to increase SABIC's market share.
Understand market, application needs and developments as well as build strong relationships at key OEM's, molders and system suppliers.
Develop differentiated & high added value (HAV) programs, technical support, and market implementation of new application and product solutions to enhance business growth.
Role requires integration and multidisciplinary project-based collaboration between Innovation & Technology, Sales and Business Unit.
Collaborate interdependently and align with global MDTM peers to prioritize and optimize global resource utilization and define/execute common business processes and objectives.
Provide timely and quality technical services to ETP customers in the region to achieve & to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. Secure optimal technical support to customers and sales offices including technical complaint handling.
Technical account management for broad range of customers and products.
Identify and initiate new leads and drive them to sustainable sales.
How You Can Be the Impact
Develop new customers by introducing and promoting SABIC existing and new products with technical know-how.Coordinate and conduct design review and tooling reviews through to trials and testing to evaluate new and existing products; consolidate feedback and result.Acquire first-hand knowledge on new trends in products and technology by maintaining close relationship with customersProvide tech support to customers (technical advice, complaint handling, training, etc.)Formulate required product portfolio changes to meet current market trends / demands.Analyze & consolidate technical market trends & opportunities & feedback to BU and sales organization.What Matters to SABIC
Bachelors/Advanced in Engineering/Science Degree preferredIdeal candidate would have 9-15 years of industry experience working in injection molding preferably at a OEMUnderstanding of product qualifications, engineering approvals, medical device and/or pharmaceutical validation and other related technical specifications and regulatory requirementsWorking knowledge of statistical concepts and toolsDemonstrated high degree of ownership and accountabilityAbility to work across customer base (OEM's, Molders, Development teams, etc.)Proficiency with using CRM systems to track opportunitiesExcellent written and oral communication skills including technical writingProven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasksStrong attention to detailMechanical aptitude and comfortable with being on the shop floor to troubleshoot IM machines, processing, tooling and design issuesAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentFluent EnglishTravel required 25-50%Physical Requirements:
