Optimizing our enrollment mix is crucial to the long-term viability of IU Indianapolis. There are several factors that influence a student's college choice, persistence, graduation and success. The Division of Enrollment Management is comprised of over 100 full-time staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military personnel, as well as other areas supporting student enrollment. The Division also oversees and provides insight for its enrollment operations for the Fort Wayne and Columbus campuses.

Job Summary
The Division of Enrollment Management at IU Indianapolis is responsible for enrollment services for all IU Indianapolis students and recruits undergraduate, domestic students to attend our campus. The Division of Enrollment Management (DEM) seeks a Web Developer and Strategist to develop and execute brand and enrollment marketing strategies to enhance the web presence for DEM's digital presence. The Web Developer and Strategist would help ensure the digital experiences of prospective and current students are usable, accessible, and optimized.
Department-Specific Responsibilities Develops and executes a web strategy, in collaboration with leadership and other stakeholders, that is informed by business goals. Independently develops and executes basic and increasingly more complex web strategies to advance marketing goals and objectives, including data collection, target market definition, market research, user research, and development of project timelines. Responds to inquiries and requests from stakeholders and explains information regarding policies, procedures, user research, and best practices. Manages relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and acts as a collaborative resource in developing web strategies. Coordinates web content updates between subject matter experts and University Communications and Marketing. Ensures DEM's efforts on the web align with the university's strategic direction. Interfaces with developers in other IU units by communicating requirements, prioritizing new features and functionality, and ensuring that requirements are met. Regularly reviews and updates web performance metrics, identifying potential issues and opportunities to address and resolve with the team. May participate in team-based planning to align strategies and deadlines across various concurrent projects and initiatives. Maintains web performance metrics in the areas of accessibility and quality. Acts as subject matter expert for DEM on the capabilities of IU's enterprise web tools, its web infrastructure, and ensures DEM makes the most out of the tools available to the unit by the university. Consults with stakeholders/clients to review existing software solutions; develops new functionality and/or writes new code as needed. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure optimum functionality, performance, accessibility, scalability, and security of supported web functionality. Documents software development efforts (changes, new functionality, issue/problem resolution). Follows program module test procedures, generates required test data, and executes testing procedures; performs quality assurance checks and fixes bugs accordingly; works with functional users to diagnose problems encountered during testing and provide production support. Provides documentation, information, and training through formal and informal communications to end users, departments, and internal staff. Researches and stays up to date on new industry software development standards, emerging technology, UX/UI design/philosophy, and accessibility standards. Works with other marketing and web teams to identify a target market and create a marketing campaign for digital technologies. Ensures alignment with university mission, strategies, objectives, and brand guidelines across all digital marketing platforms and content. Leverages brand standards to create interfaces that optimize for conversion and optimal user experience. General Responsibilities
Provides ongoing analysis, monitoring, and administration of university website(s) and internal intranet sites. Applies updates, upgrades, and patches and performs testing to ensure website effectiveness and usability. Ensures compliance with university web and internet standards. Assists in developing and maintaining documentation of backup and recovery plans. Reviews and documents user feedback; recommends improvements to design/development teams based on feedback. Consults with website stakeholders to determine appropriate web content and makes updates/revisions accordingly. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field) WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
Experience with the full development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, GitHub, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and XML. SKILLS

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
