We need a big, outrageous thinker – and doer. Someone who regularly makes people nervous with ideas, and knows how to bring them to life. If you play it safe, please stop right here. Our next Creative Director will carry the flame for the department, capable of doing breakthrough work and inspiring others to do the same. Background in either art or copy is okay, but a portfolio that makes us say, “Damn, this is en fuego” is a must.
REPORTS TO: SVP, Creative
SPAN OF CONTROL: a team of creatives including Art Directors, Designers
Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience on client facing accounts, in a creative leadership role in an agency environment.
- Recognized expertise in advertising, identity, or interactive design.
- A strong working knowledge of the fundamentals—interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process—as well as new platforms and technologies for the digital channel and related media.
- Proven ability to provide clear and concise creative direction, guide creative careers and provide timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes.
- Leadership. We need a CD who is capable of everything from team building to mentoring to guiding large and complex projects and unifying entire teams around a vision.
- Recruitment. Actively identify and recruit top talent for current and future creative roles.
- Impeccable presentation skills and communication abilities.
- Must be able to prioritize work and resources across multiple large and small scale projects with short and long-term needs.

Qualifications:
- You’ve created work that blows people’s toupees off
- Your portfolio makes other creatives want to be you
- Creative director or other swagger-worthy experience
- Experience leading a top notch award winning team
- Agency experience a must

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing, walking, or lifting of office supplies (up to 10–20 lbs.)
- Frequent communication via phone, email, and video conferencing.
- Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment with standard lighting and noise levels.
- Position may require occasional travel to client site
Compensation Range: We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The compensation range for this position is $125,000-170,000 annually, with potential for bonuses, stock and additional benefits.
