Minimum **Qualifications:**
Associate's degree or equivalent in digital media or related field and two years related experience.
**Job Description:**
To oversee the pre-test, set-up, operation and maintenance of various audio-visual, videography equipment and systems.
**Job Duties:**
+ Provides guidance and mentoring in the professional development of individuals
+ Provides team support regarding technical expertise, problem resolution/troubleshooting, training, coaching, and team facilitation
+ Provides leadership and training to Audio-Visual Technicians and Senior Audio-Visual Technicians in the installation and repair of audio visual equipment.
+ Assists in the development of policies and procedures.
+ Instructs customers on the proper use of equipment
+
Ensures the delivery and set up audio visual equipment for programs and lectures including the regulation of lights and sound for proper presentation
+ Installs and repairs cable and satellite system, jacks and other necessary equipment and software in auditoriums/classrooms.
+
Designs/installs security systems
+
Provides estimates for design/install and repair of audio-visual systems.
+ Trouble shoots and provides minor repairs to audio visual and related equipment.
+
Oversees the planning/design/installation of audio-visual and systems and special effects lighting set-ups.
+ Oversees the operation of complex events and the maintenance of special facilities.
+
Operates cable TV and satellite system
+
Provides video editing and shooting as needed
+ Supports Information Services with teleconference events/services
+ Negotiates equipment prices for audio visual pool and auditoriums
+
Maintains inventory of supplies
+ Assists in the evaluation of hardware and software products
+ Stays current with applicable UTMB, State and Federal rules and regulations
+
Serves as a consultant to faculty and administration in the application of Educational Technology
+ Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Performs related duties as required.
**Salary Range:**
Commensurate with Experience
**Equipment:** Pre-test, set-up and operate the following equipment: 35mm slide projector, overhead projector, amplifier, microphones, public address system, probable podiums, audio/visual accessories liquid crystal projector (LCP) computer for projection purposes, custom lighting, document cameras, auditoriums systems, videography, cameras, editing and duplicating systems, VCR and monitor.
