Akkodis is seeking an hybrid Technical Writer for our client based in Laurel MD.
Pay Range:$27 - $32/hr on w2 without benefits. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, quick reference guides, user guides, training manuals, brochures, after-action reports, and instructional videos.
- Determine the most effective way to present information for maximum reader comprehension and ensure technical documentation is clear and logical.
- Proofread and edit documents to ensure adherence to grammatical and formatting standards.
- Collaborate with IT departments to gather documentation for the IT Technical Documentation Repository, ensuring proper formatting and uploading.
- Work with video requestors to gather media content and textual information, develop instructional videos aligned with requestor needs, and ensure compliance with accessibility and quality standards.
- Store instructional videos on Microsoft Stream.
