The Video and Media Coordinator position is a full-time exempt position, reporting directly to the
Design Director of the Marketing and Communications department at KCAI. This position has
responsibilities directly related to marketing and video production.
Essential Functional Responsibilities:• Responsible for working with the Design Director to establish the overall video strategy
for the college and filming, editing, and production of video assets in accordance with the
mission and goals of the college.• This position will work collaboratively with multiple departments to identify and obtain
digital assets including, but not limited to, photography - campus, classroom, student
work; videos - marketing, admissions, and social media; and may include securing
assets or rights from third party vendors or entities.• Filming and editing for campus-wide projects and initiatives that fit within the KCAI
brand.• Photographing and editing for lifestyle and studio shoots such as student artwork and
student/faculty/staff portraits.• Managing the production of the multimedia needs of various departments including
Admissions, Advancement, Artspace, and KCAI Gallery.• Coordinating film and photography schedules for all projects, securing locations, and
permissions.• Coordinating schedules of interviewees, classes, and various campus entities to
effectively limit disruptions to regular college functions.• Responsible for regular upkeep and organization of the college's DAM.• Managing Vimeo and YouTube for maximum engagement and reviewing multimedia
assets regularly to keep them current.• Managing film and photography equipment ensuring it's properly maintained and stored.• Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:• Video production, videography, and editing skills required.• Lifestyle and studio photography and editing skills are preferred.• Attention to detail and high level of organization.• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.• Be a collaborative and active member of a creative team and participate in finding
innovative solutions and overcoming obstacles and challenges.• Receive feedback on creative work and make necessary edits and adjustments
Required Experience/Education:• Bachelor's degree in a related field• Experienced in producing videos and working collaboratively and autonomously
Preferred Experience/Education:• Master's degree in related field• Experience in Higher Education• Photography production and editing experience• Studio Art Background
