Full-time | Christ Methodist Church | Memphis, TN

Christ Methodist Church seeks a versatile and driven Creative Content Designer to join our Communications Team. This role is ideal for someone who is hungry to grow in a wide range of creative disciplines—print and digital design, social media, photography, and video—and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving ministry environment.

We’re looking for someone who is not only creatively talented but also self-motivated, organized, and open to learning new skills. If you’re passionate about storytelling, comfortable juggling multiple projects, and eager to make a meaningful Kingdom impact, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Design visual content for print, digital, and social media platforms.
• Photograph church events, ministries, and people in authentic ways.
• Create and schedule content across social platforms that reflects our mission and tone.
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to bring their events and stories to life visually.
• Participate in the development of video content when possible.
• Contribute to the evolving voice and look of the Christ Methodist brand.

Qualifications

• Foundational design skills with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Eye for storytelling through layout, photography, and brand consistency.
• Experience with (or interest in) photography, social media, and video.
• Organized and self-driven with excellent follow-through.
• Thrives in collaboration and communicates clearly and kindly.
• Personally follows Jesus and wants to be part of a church making disciples of all peoples.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with video editing or motion graphics.
• Background in church or nonprofit communications.
• Passion for training or mentoring others in creative disciplines.

You’ll join a small but focused team made up of two devoted Christ-followers—Miles (Communications Director) and Lance (Digital Content Strategist)—who believe that good design and good data aren’t separate from good discipleship. We’re passionate about creating meaningful content, not just for our own local church but also for the wider Global Methodist Church movement.
