JOB PURPOSE MSC Cruises USA is expanding its Marketing team in Miami, FL. The Vice President of Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for driving brand growth and achieving key marketing objectives for MSC Cruises. This brand new role oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across brand marketing, advertising, trade marketing, partnerships, promotions, and creative studio functions. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a proven track record in the travel or hospitality industry, possessing deep expertise in building brand equity, driving customer acquisition, and maximizing revenue through innovative marketing initiatives. The successful applicant will ideally be based in South Florida and able to commit to 2 days/week in office, in Miami, FL. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Provide strategic direction and goal-oriented leadership to Direct Reports across the Brand Marketing, Advertising, Trade Marketing, Promotions, Partnerships, and Creative Studio teams. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, revenue management, product development, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives. Partner with Direct Report(s) to effectively drive growth via key marketing disciplines, including: Brand Management Maintain and enhance the brand's identity and positioning, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. Leverage brand research and analysis to understand customer perceptions and identify ways to evolve how we communicate as a brand. Develop and execute brand messaging that resonates with target audiences and drive brand growth. Advertising & Promotions Oversee the development and execution of integrated advertising campaigns across all paid media channels, including TV, Radio, OOH, Digital, and Paid Social. Develop and implement effective promotional strategies to drive sales and customer engagement. Trade Marketing Lead and manage the Trade Marketing team in the development and execution of trade marketing campaigns, event collateral and merchandising, promotions and incentives, Co-Op and Trade Media Marketing campaigns, and owned channel communications and engagement. Drive efficient use of marketing resources to streamline the delivery of supported communications. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners. Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on trade marketing strategies. Collaborate with our Corporate Trade Marketing team to align closely on the development of campaign tool kits, engagement tools, and key product updates that Trade Marketing supports and hosts in owned channels. Brand Partnerships Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic brand partnerships that align with the company's objectives and enhance brand value. Negotiate and execute partnership agreements and oversee partnership deliverables and performance. Develop and implement initiatives with partner brands to expand reach and drive customer engagement. Creative Studio Partner closely with Creative Director to lead the in-house creative studio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative assets that support marketing initiatives. Oversee the development of brand guidelines and ensure consistent application across all creative materials. Manage creative budgets and resources effectively. Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, supporting their professional development. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback. Budget Management & Performance Analysis: Develop and manage the marketing production budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on marketing performance. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or related industry. Travel related experience preferred. Experience managing substantial budgets and teams (minimum of 10+ people). Experience leading an in-house creative team or agency creative team. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and revenue. Strong understanding of digital marketing, advertising, and brand management principles. Experience in both B2C and B2B. Knowledge in emerging technologies including AI and AR/VR. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a strong analytical mindset. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong knowledge of travel industry trends.
