About the position:
Location: Los Angeles - Hybrid 3 days in office
Reports to: CEO
The Marketing Director is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the strategic direction, development, and performance of the De La Calle brand’s marketing, brand, and innovation functions. This role will own the full marketing funnel—from brand awareness to shopper conversion—and to be the voice of the consumer across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy, Growth, and Leadership
Define and lead the long-term brand vision and positioning across channels.
Drive top-line growth through innovative marketing strategies that scale awareness and deepen loyalty.
Write annual marketing plans, socialize with executive leadership team, present to board of directors, and execute
Lead Social Media Manager, ensuring social, content, and influencer plan aligns to overall brand strategy and hits social media goals set forth in annual planning
Attend Leadership Team weekly call, manage updates and cross share between the departments
Own and lead the Cross-Functional bi-monthly team meeting and the Sales & Marketing all hands bi-monthly meeting
Manage Marketing budget, including period close, accrual communication, and periodic re-forecasting
Champion the voice of the consumer—translate insights into actionable strategies across brand, product, and channel.
Monitor category trends, competitive landscape, and cultural signals to keep the brand culturally relevant and ahead of the curve.
Recommend, facilitate, and coordinate any and all primary research needs.
Share secondary research with executive team as needed
Monitor sales trends in partnership with Sales leadership
Integrated Marketing & Communications
Oversee 360° marketing efforts including paid media, influencer, PR, digital, experiential, and content.
Lead omnichannel marketing strategy across retail, e-commerce, DTC, and foodservice.
Manage internal and external partners and internal creative teams to produce breakthrough campaigns.
Manage the DTC revenue forecast and work to deliver the budgeted revenue for Amazon and e-commerce channels.
Develop and execute thoughtful and velocity-driving shopper marketing campaigns.
Partner with R&D and Operations to develop and launch new products based on consumer need states, whitespace opportunities, and trend forecasting.
Own go-to-market strategies for product launches, seasonal pushes, and retail promotions.
Sales & Field Marketing Collaboration
Align closely with Sales to build national and regional programs that drive velocity and retail activation.
Oversee field marketing strategy and execution in key markets to drive trial and local relevance.
Support demo program by managing the BA team/agency and owning the budget line item.
Create “sips to lips” opportunities in key market areas that create maximum opportunities for trial.
Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
Foster a collaborative, creative, and data-driven culture.
Set clear goals, KPIs, and accountability structures for team performance.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in the beverage or CPG industry.
Deep understanding of brand-building, consumer behavior, and cultural trends.
Experience overseeing retail and DTC marketing efforts, with strong commercial instincts.
Ability to support DSD and Wholesales business needs.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Competitive base salary ($140,000-155,000 annually)
