Savion is seeking a fast-learning and self-motivated undergraduate or graduate student in Graphic Design, Marketing, Business or related major from an accredited university to fill a Graphic Design Summer Intern position from May 2024 – August 2024, with the possibility of extending until December 2024.

The candidate will complete a variety of tasks while being trained and mentored by the Marketing team. This position is open to all qualified individuals who desire to join Savion’s dynamic team in our Kansas City office.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and design print and digital materials
• Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline
• Retouch and manipulate images
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
• Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to develop design concepts
• Receive feedback from the Senior Graphic Designer and make necessary changes
• Assemble final work product and materials; prepare for delivery as needed
• Work with external printers and vendors as needed
• Assist other Marketing Department staff in additional marketing work assignments as needed

Required Qualifications

• Graphic Design major preferred
• Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
• Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Strong creative and analytical skills
• Preference in working with a corporate brand versus an agency
• Compelling portfolio of graphic design work

Location

Hybrid: Kansas City, Missouri Headquarters with some flexibility for hybrid work
