Role description:
Mabaya Group is looking for a detail-oriented Web Content Editor to oversee and refine digital content for accuracy, clarity, and engagement. The ideal candidate will ensure all web content meets brand guidelines, SEO standards, and readability expectations for online audiences.
This is a remote contract role, but candidates must be based in Sacramento, California, and authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Edit, proofread, and refine website content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practices and aligns with digital marketing goals.
- Maintain brand voice, tone, and style across all web platforms.
- Analyze and improve content performance based on SEO insights and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with content writers, designers, and marketing teams to enhance digital assets.
- Manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in web content editing, digital publishing, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in grammar, style, and content structure for online readability.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword optimization, and content strategy.
- Experience using content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
- Candidates must be based in Sacramento, California, and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar SEO tools.
- Knowledge of basic HTML and web formatting best practices.
- Familiarity with UX writing and accessibility standards.
Compensation & Job Type:
- Freelance, Contract (Paid) – Compensation based on experience and project scope.
- Estimated Pay Range: $30 – $70 per hour, depending on expertise.
- Remote – Candidates must be based in Sacramento, California, and authorized to work in the United States.
