Special Instructions to Applicant:
AUM College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Department of Communication Disorders, is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position supporting a graduate program in speech-language pathology, currently seeking candidacy with an anticipated enrollment date of 2025. A doctorate degree is required. Recent clinical and teaching experience are desired. The individual in this position reports to the Department Chair of Communication Disorders (CMDS).
Candidates must have an earned research doctorate in Speech Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Science, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred). A.B.D. candidates are eligible, but all degree requirements must be completed by June 1, 2025. Evidence of the ability to develop a research program, potential for teaching excellence, and a commitment to university, community, and professional service are required. CCC-SLP from ASHA and eligibility for licensure as a speech-language pathologist in Alabama are required. Some undergraduate teaching may be needed.
Responsibilities:
- Classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate program according to departmental needs
- Developing and maintaining a research program in the candidate’s area of expertise
- Participation in clinical, departmental, and university service
- Demonstrating professional growth and potential

- Teaching may be face-to-face and/or online

Preferred Qualifications:
Recent clinical experience and graduate-level teaching experience are preferred.
