Mountain Lion Foundation - Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager
Position Type: Contract
Compensation: $2,000/month

The Mountain Lion Foundation is dedicated to protecting mountain lions and their habitat across North America through conservation, education, and advocacy efforts.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager to elevate our digital presence and engage with our growing online community. This role will be responsible for creating compelling content across multiple social media platforms while fostering meaningful connections with our supporters and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging, platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and BlueSky
- Manage posting schedules and maintain consistent brand voice across all platforms
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with community comments and messages
- Build relationships with followers, conservation partners, and wildlife advocates
- Track analytics and optimize content based on performance metrics
- Support online fundraising and awareness campaigns
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation
- Background or demonstrated interest in wildlife conservation
- Excellent writing skills with ability to adapt tone for different platforms
- Basic proficiency in photo/video editing and graphic design tools
- Experience growing and engaging online communities
- Understanding of social media analytics and performance measurement
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Photography or videography experience
- Knowledge of wild cat behavior, ecology, and conservation issues
- Experience with conservation-focused digital storytelling
- Experience with non-profit or cause-based social media campaigns
