High School Music Teacher

Minimum Experience: 1+ years teaching experience required.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lectures and other instructional methods to students.
- Teach students about fundamental music concepts, including but not limited to music theory, rhythm, melody, pitch, tempo, history, appreciation, harmony, and ensemble.
- Instruct, aide, and support students in learning, advancing, and becoming proficient in playing various instruments.
- Record student attendance and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades.
- Engage with students daily and foster a safe, interactive learning environment.
- Provide students with the opportunity to join ensembles including band, choir, and musicals.
- Evaluate each student's progression within their assigned instrument and their overall contribution to the musical group.
- Maintain responsibility and care for all school-owned musical instruments and other property.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time (40.00 hours per week)
- Term: Permanent
- Compensation: Based on experience and education, Salary District Schedule

Education And Licensing Requirements
- Active State of Nebraska Teachers Licensure with endorsements in music
- Willing to accept new grads or those eligible for a license.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in any field.
