Part-Time Music Director
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Sugar Grove, IL is seeking a part-time Music Director. The Music Director will provide musical leadership for all liturgies, including weekends, holy days, weddings, and funerals.
Responsibilities
- Playing the organ/keyboard and providing vocal leadership
- Scheduling musicians
- Overseeing choirs
- Selecting music
Qualifications
- Faithful Catholic in good standing preferred
- Proficient in playing the organ and/or keyboard, in singing, and conducting
- Knowledge of Catholic liturgy is preferred
- Ability to inspire involvement and participation; work collaboratively with others
Compensation
$22-$25/hour dependent on experience
$80/Mass (if in excess of normal weekly responsibilities)
Benefits include paid personal time off equivalent to the average weekly hours worked
