Hiring Now: Teacher of the Visually Impaired Riverside County, CA Position: Teacher of the Visually Impaired Location: Riverside County, CA Duration: Full-Time, 2024-2025 Academic Year Strong chance of renewal for 2025-2026 Academic Year ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time position in Riverside County, CA for the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers the opportunity to work with students with visual impairments, providing them with the support they need to succeed academically and socially in a fully inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in areas such as Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology. Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to create an accessible learning environment. Educate parents and school staff on how to best support students with vision challenges. Assess students' progress and modify teaching methods as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education with a concentration in visual impairments. TVI certification. Experience with Braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive teaching methods. Additional Skills: Experience in mobility training and orientation. Familiarity with low vision devices.
