This is a Full Time position in the field of Live Broadcast / Sports / TV News / Technical Operations located in Los Angeles, CA.
The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding, and inclusion of people with disabilities. LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, aims to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community, and our people. The Manager, Venue Broadcast Planning and Operations, reporting to the Senior Director of Broadcast Services, will liaise with OBS and LA28 functional teams to ensure all broadcast requirements are met for the Games. Responsibilities include coordinating with OBS, supporting venue surveys, managing broadcast infrastructure at venues, and collaborating across departments to deliver all broadcast services before and during the Games. The role involves managing milestones, supporting media rights holders, overseeing infrastructure development, and establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate communication with OBS and its teams.
- Support venue site surveys and broadcast needs.
- Manage broadcast infrastructure at venues and the International Broadcast Center.
- Ensure readiness of broadcast venues with local partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align broadcast planning.
Required experience includes at least 5 years in broadcast production, management, or related fields, with preference for 7+ years. Experience working with international broadcast organizations and diverse stakeholders is essential. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to collaboration, accessibility, and inclusivity, with strong organizational, communication, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Office tools. Physical requirements include being based in Los Angeles, with possible travel and variable working hours.
