AdventHealth Orlando Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America Houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country Provides service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The role you’ll contribute: The Director of Strategic Design (DSD) will be responsible for developing and executing plans to build a culture of innovation at all levels of the organization. The DSD will lead a team that uses a human-centered, design-based approach to co-create effective and sustainable solutions to the organization's top challenges and opportunities. They will ensure empathy is gathered from various organizational levels and consumers to design, develop prototypes, lead improvement cycles, and achieve deployment and results. The value you’ll bring to the team: Develop guiding principles, internal philosophy on innovation, and strategies for the design center to ensure success. Inspire others to contribute to a positive culture of innovation through presentations at the AdventHealth Leadership Institute, Design Center, and in the field. Provide colleagues across the company (from executives to frontline staff) with the tools needed for success. Provide senior leadership to the design of innovation labs and to data capture, research, and publications based on work at the design center. Lead and inspire the design team, cultivating a learning, creative, and highly productive environment. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, Innovation, Sociology, Psychology, or a similar field. 10+ years’ experience in design and/or healthcare. Project management experience including defining scope, budget, and managing project schedules.
