Job Summary:
Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with The Simpsons and much more. The flagship direct-to-consumer streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, Disney+ offers an ever-growing collection of exclusive originals. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with Analytics, Finance, and Paid Media teams to deliver critical analysis, strategic support, and reporting of media plans and budgets across domestic and international territories.
Candidates will need to distill business trends and performance indicators into decisions that drive marketing investment. The role will include assessing factors impacting resource allocations around the globe and considering which countries should have heavier investments versus less. Critical metric trend analysis and forecasts will aim to provide operational teams and executive management a snapshot into expected financial performance.
The individual should be able to expertly present sophisticated financial concepts in front of senior leadership and influence the direction of growth marketing investment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of growth marketing performance narrative and strategic implications across business units.
- Develop and maintain the performance measurement strategy and relevant statistical models for performance marketing investments.
- Lead bottoms-up budget aggregation to provide critical budget vs. actual visibility.
- Lead and inspire a team of analysts responsible for building reports that help analyze and power decisions.
- Develop automated processes and scaled frameworks for value assessments.
- Find opportunities for automation in reporting and analysis processes.
- Build and automate statistical models to generate critical insights.
- Prepare executive reports and contribute to leadership updates.
- Develop insights on relevant digital conversion behaviors and customer journey.
- Lead and establish channel-level tracking and reporting of marketing metrics.
- Establish and identify performance marketing goals; define measurable objectives.
- Gain familiarity across all financial planning models for the streaming service.
- Act as the key point of contact within Growth Marketing for planning or financial analysis questions.
- Develop business case calculations and statistical models for forecasting growth marketing initiatives.
- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure transparency.
- Lead proforma and post-mortem impact analysis of growth marketing strategies.
- Build strategic decision-making frameworks and develop scripts to automate processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis of customer centricity.
- Develop impactful presentation materials that effectively communicate financial projections and marketing performance.
- Serve as the day-to-day trusted measurement partner for brand and content marketing stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Business or a related field.
- 10+ years of proven experience in marketing analytics or growth marketing analytics.
- Experience working in a Direct-to-Consumer environment.
- Validated leadership skills with a successful track record of team building.
- Excellent modelling skills with the ability to defend model assumptions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills.
- Proven experience with statistical modelling languages (e.g. SQL, R, Python, SAS).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
- High level of proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Skilled in distilling insights from data and crafting presentations for executives.
- Able to maintain meticulous attention to detail and a big-picture strategic mentality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA.
- Experience in consulting or investment banking.
- Experience with subscription services.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $156,300 to $209,600 and Glendale, CA is $149,250 to $200,200 per year.
